About

We’re all just walking each other home. - Ram Dass

Embodied Wellness was founded by Brittany “Brit” Petty, LICSW, E-RYT 500, YACEP, with the belief that meaningful healing involves more than the mind alone. Brit is an intuitive, relational therapist whose work explores the interconnectedness of mind, body, relationships, and meaning. Her approach integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with somatic therapy, mindfulness, yoga therapeutics and philosophy, and nervous system-informed practices. She works with children, families, and adults, creating space for curiosity, connection, and the many ways we experience being human. Brit has worked across clinical, educational, and wellness settings and brings more than a decade of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness. She is also a Yoga & Resilience Specialist with O2X Human Performance, supporting first responders, veterans, active military, and professionals through yoga, mindfulness, and Yoga Nidra. Therapeutic Approaches & Areas of Focus Embodied Wellness offers relational, integrative psychotherapy informed by: Attachment & Relational Therapy — Exploring how our earliest and current relationships shape the ways we experience ourselves and connect with others. Nature-Based & Walk-and-Talk Therapy — Bringing therapy beyond the traditional office through movement, fresh air, and connection with the natural world. Walk-and-talk sessions can offer a more spacious, embodied way to reflect, regulate, and engage in the therapeutic process. Psycho-Spiritual & Meaning-Centered Work — Creating space for questions of meaning, identity, purpose, values, spirituality, grief, and connection to something larger than ourselves. Children & Families — Developmentally sensitive, attachment-informed support that looks beyond behavior to understand the child within the context of their relationships, nervous system, family, and environment. Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) — Building psychological flexibility while clarifying values and learning to make room for the full range of human experience. Somatic & Mind-Body Therapy — Bringing awareness to the body's sensations, patterns, and nervous system alongside traditional talk therapy. Clinical Supervision Brit offers clinical supervision and consultation for social workers and helping professionals seeking a relational, reflective, and integrative space to develop their clinical work. Supervision can include case conceptualization, therapeutic use of self, somatic and mind-body approaches, professional identity, and the integration of mindfulness and embodiment into clinical practice. Workshops & Experiential Offerings Embodied Wellness offers workshops for community groups, organizations, helping professionals, and teams interested in bringing nervous system awareness, mindfulness, and embodied practices into everyday life and work. Cultivating Calm A practical, experiential exploration of the nervous system, stress, and regulation, offering accessible tools for cultivating greater awareness, resilience, and calm. Rest for Success An experiential introduction to Yoga Nidra and Non-Sleep Deep Rest (NSDR), exploring the neuroscience of intentional rest and how deep-rest practices can support recovery, attention, resilience, creativity, and sustainable performance. Additional offerings include yoga, mindfulness, embodied practices, customized workshops, and retreats. Please contact for more information.
